Annual Giving Circles
Through our Annual Giving Circles, we honor and thank our alumni, parents and friends who provide us with a high level of annual support. Your generous annual gifts ranging from $500 to $50,000+ ensure that resources are available to meet the immediate needs of our students and create extraordinary opportunities for learners.
Saint Mary's Circle ($50,000+) Honoring Mary—the Blessed Mother and patroness of our university.
Saint John Baptist De La Salle Circle ($25,000-$49,999) Honoring Saint John Baptist de La Salle—founder of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and patron saint of Christian educators.
Christian Brothers Circle ($10,000-$24,999) Honoring the over 5,000 De La Salle Christian Brothers worldwide who carry out the work of De La Salle, providing a Christian education to young people and adults, especially the poor and marginalized. Christian Brothers have served Saint Mary’s since 1933.
Lasallians Circle ($5,000-$9,999) Honoring the over 80,000 lay colleagues who partner with the Christian Brothers in teaching over 1 million students in 82 countries. Saint Mary’s is a Lasallian community of faith, service, and leadership.
Presidents Circle ($1,000-$4,999) Honoring the university’s 13 presidents, who have led Saint Mary’s with a commitment to both its Lasallian Catholic tradition and the advancement of the university’s mission.
Heffron Circle ($100-$999) Honoring the vision of Bishop Patrick R. Heffron, who founded Saint Mary’s in 1912.
Cumulative Giving Societies
The Cumulative Giving Societies, honor and thank our alumni, parents and friends who provide us with a high level of support year after year. These societies reflect cumulative gifts over a lifetime of support for the University.
Saint Mary's Society ($1,000,000+) Honoring Mary—the Blessed Mother and patroness of our university.
Saint John Baptist De La Salle Society ($750,000-$999,999) Honoring John Baptist de La Salle— founder of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and patron saint of Christian educators.
Saint Thomas More Society ($500,000-$749,999) Honoring Thomas More—lawyer, literary scholar, and Lord Chancellor of England. Known for his moral integrity, Thomas More was martyred for his refusal to compromise his religious beliefs and conscience to render allegiance to the king. The chapel on the university’s Winona Campus is named in honor of Thomas More.
Saint Joseph Society ($250,000-$499,999) Honoring Joseph—husband of Mary, head of the Holy Family, and patron saint and protector of the universal Catholic Church.
Making education affordable and accessible is at the core of our mission at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Scholarships open doors to opportunities, not only to attend college, but also to experience it at its fullest. We are extraordinarily grateful for the scholarship funds that have been established.
